Surgery Doors Re-Opened
Posted on 7 Jul 2020
On 30 June we re-opened the doors to the surgery. There is a one way system in and out of the building. Please read the signs before you enter to ensure compliance.
WE REMAIN OPEN FROM 8AM UNTIL 6.30PM. However, as shielded patients are seen first thing in the morning, the doors will not open until 10am once all the shielded patients have been seen and left.
All Doctor appointments are to remain being initially triaged over the phone, and if the doctor decides an examination is required arrangements will be made to do so.
IF YOU ENTER THE BUILDING YOU MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING, A SCARF WILL SUFFICE, ANYTHING THAT COVER YOUR NOSE AND YOUR MOUTH. WE ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO PROVIDE THIS FOR YOU.
Patients are still required to ONLY visit the surgery IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. The vast majority of queries can be dealt with over the phone. You should only visit the surgery to bring in required ID when registering or dropping off samples you have been asked by the dr or nurse to bring in. We are able to send you sick notes and letters electronically.
Handwirtten prescription requests should be put in the post box OUTSIDE of the building. There is no need to enter to building to drop them off. Once processed, the majority of prescriptions are sent electronically to your chemist, and this will continue.
Patients who have a face to face appointment with the nurse or doctor are required to turn up on time, wearing a face covering. Please do not arrive early for your appointment as we have to keep numbers to a minimum in the building in order to maintain social distancing withing the waiting room. If you arrive early you will be asked to wait outside the building.
All these measures are for your protection as well as helping the practice to remain open. Wearing masks helps stop the spread of the virus.
Thank you for your co-operation.
